A Swansea-based assisted living and care provider has been acquired by three entrepreneurs.GRS Care Ltd, which provides care services across South Wales, has been bought by David Howells, Ceri Todd and Amrita Amin.
The company has ten sites in Swansea and Carmarthenshire, with 85 employees providing care for about 80 individuals with a broad variety of needs.
GRS, founded in 1995, will open a new community base facility for domiciliary care service users in Carmarthenshire, complete with sport and arts and crafts facilities, later this year.
Howells' background is in finance and process engineering. Todd and Amin have over 40 years of combined experience within clinical and GP practices as well as specific mental health, criminal justice, alcohol and drug abuse expertise.
David Howells said: ''This is a hugely exciting opportunity for us and one that brings me back home to Swansea following years of travelling the UK and Europe.
''As a team, we are eager to maintain the high standards of GRS (Care) whilst also having clear ideas about building the business for the future. As well as adding specialist divisions, we are also looking to create and lead clinical training programmes for the industry.
''Our focus will remain on the service we provide and, as we grow, we will look to secure more properties across South Wales.''
Swansea-based Douglas-Jones Mercer (DJM) Solicitors advised on the transaction.
